ESCCAP is excited to announce a significant enhancement to its interactive Parasite Infection Maps, now expanded to include data from 14 European countries:
This powerful tool provides veterinary professionals with valuable, data-driven insights into the geographical distribution of parasites and parasite-associated infections in companion animals across Europe. The maps are populated with data from targeted diagnostic tests, visually representing the percentage of positive results for key parasites and parasite-associated infections in dogs and cats across 14 European countries. They depict the percentage of positive tests in screened pets, NOT the overall prevalence of infection and include results from travelled or imported pets, regardless of their origin.
Data can be filtered by country, region, companion animal species (dog and cat), specific parasite/parasite-associated infection and time period.
Veterinary professionals are encouraged to explore this new tool to enhance their understanding of regional parasite risks by visiting www.esccap.org/parasite-infection-map/ and by following ESCCAP on their social media channels.
